Osheen Byrnes
Main Given Name: Osheen Byrnes Nickname: Osh Gender: Male Age: late twenties-early thirties Skills: Herbalist/Plant Identification – Osh has a gift with plant identification. He understands which plants are edible and which are not. He also knows the uses of different medicinal herbs. At the beginning, this ability presents itself as a gut feeling instead of a knowledge based decision. Navigation – Osh always knows which way he's facing—North, West, East, and West. He has a good sense of direction and he can always retrace his steps back should he lose his way. Public Speaking – Osh, though he is shy, has a way with words. He's excellent at speeches and instructing others. This makes him a good teacher and explainer. Running – If there's one thing that Osh could claim to be king of, it's running. He has speed and endurance and a sense of calm when running.
Appearance: Osh has a long, thin face. His hazel eyes are usually squinted, either because his brow is creased with puzzled concern or because his face is lit up by a smile. In other words, he wears his heart on his sleeve. Osh has a thick mop of floppy auburn hair on his head, in need of a haircut in his opinion, as it covers his ears. His mouth, thin-lipped and rather small on his face, has a slight over-bite to it. He is rather lightly furnished in way of facial hair, even his eyebrows are rather sparse. At most, a covering of stubble darkens his lower face.
He is a rather tall, spindly man with long legs and arms to match his height. He's six-four with long, bony fingers and feet that when bare, you can follow the lines of his bones in them. Osh is a fidgety man, unable to stand still and when he tries, he's still wringing his hands. He has a habit of walking barefoot on the balls of his feet, up on his toes.
Face Claim: n/a
Mental Personality: Overall, Osh is a rather flighty man. That is the best description of him. He is a coward and prefers to run away from problems and threats rather than tackle them head on. However, besides this, he has an unshakeable sense of honor and is polite and gentle in his interactions with others. He's quiet and shy, trying not to draw too much attention to himself and enjoying time for self-contemplation. Normally, he's a bit quirky, liking odd things and being full of odd habits. Though his first reaction is to run from problems, he's able to work them out in his head while he's on a jog afterward. He tends to do a lot of thinking and, once he breaks the ice, tends to be easy-going, playful, and intelligent. He also is rather scholarly, loving to ask questions and question things in his meek way. Once he figures out that he needs to find his memories, he searches for them in earnest. He does try to keep his emotions in check for etiquette's sake, but usually ends up showing them. He's easy to read. positive traits :

Memories Race: White stag. Info The white stag feels the life of the forest, knows every branch and every creeping animal as if they were a part of the tapestry of his life. Playfully, he asks those to chase after him, teasing them with the faint glimmer of hope that they could catch him when really, it is up to him whether or not he is caught and whether or not the pursue continues. If the chase gets too intense, the white stag finally displays the extent of his power. Branches shift and shadows turn to confuse his hunters, the fog raises, fades everything to gray, and, when the white stag has made his getaway, the forest moves back to how it was. The white stag is conservative with his power. Honor and modesty binds him to the life of merely a stag, sucking water at the pools, overlooking the forest's growth, and racing the predators, sometimes even giving his life if that is what the forest needs.
But what of the stag separated from his wood?
Look: A small weedy looking plant that blooms a small white flower. It grows on anything and anywhere. Powers
- Level 1
Osheen has nothing more than the ability to place himself in the world. He knows where North is and how to retrace his steps. He simply has gut-feeling and instinctual reactions in regards to whether things are safe to eat or not. He looks human and acts human, having auburn hair, he seems nothing like the creature he truly is.
- Level 2
Osheen can now name the plants and understand the reasoning for his instincts before, in regards to herbs. He finds himself feeling much more peaceful in dense forest—a peace that goes beyond a man enjoying nature as he sometimes "feels" the life around him, mostly when he's on alert, for example, when escaping from something. His hair lightens, silvering on the sides and roaning the top, making him seem distinguished and emphasizing his genteel nature. His eyes darken, going from their bright hazel to a dark brown. His ears grow points on the tips and headaches plague him as his skull begs for his bony antlers to finally emerge, but that is for the next stage.
- Level 3
His sense of direction in the forest has evolved into being able to stumble upon places lush with life. He's attracted to these sorts of places, now, and dreams of them. Sometimes, this is a bad thing when predators lie in wait. Now, he has the ability to find them when he needs the herbs and vegetation because he knows where they are. He knows their names because a little bit of himself touches into the surrounding areas, the eyes of a buck seeing all angles. Suddenly, his two skills: navigation and plant-identification have revealed a common ancestry in the repertoire of his abilities. Antlers grow from his head now. His ears have now become the alert and well-furred ears of a deer. He also has a tail. Osheen's hair has become silver by this point.
- Level 4
Nature has a silent dialogue with Osheen. It is not a conversation, but an understanding that was not there before. There are no words, only a shared knowledge that even the insentient have souls and lives. The trees keep their secrets from Osh, the birds mock him, the predators taunt him, and the rain whispers threats of flood. Osheen is no longer deaf to the fact that the island rejects him—the stag divorced from his kingdom. Instead, he keeps his antlered head low, practices no authority over the nature, but seeks to understand a way to connect, strike a bargain or a mutual partnership. For now, he can only plead with the forest. Plead for the fog to come, for the branches to drop a little lower so he can reach for their fruit. Now, Osheen's legs have become a deer's legs. He moves through the forests and the beaches as a faun, but with his ears opened to that which he had not heard before.
- Level 5
He asks politely and usually things change. He asks for knowledge, and sometimes it is given, though usually in the most roundabout fashion. He remains modest in what he asks for, lest nature reject him, fight him, and hate him. Osheen has gone beyond pleading. He moves through the forest, either as a full white stag or as a human with white hair, white deer ears, and antlers. There's no mistaking his identity now.
